“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their hard work.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9

With joy in our hearts, and together with our families, we invite you to witness our marriage and to share in the day with us.

The wedding talk will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Binalonan, followed by dinner and a garden reception at Cai’s Garden. Come early, stay late, and help us begin.

Our Story

How we got here

Two people who kept showing up for each other, long before either of them called it anything.

2021 · How we met

The unremarkable beginning

It started the unremarkable way good things usually do. Achilles and Kate met through the congregation in Pangasinan, and for a while that was all it was: familiar faces, easy conversation, nothing either of them thought twice about.

Kate remembers that Achilles was always early and always talking. Achilles remembers that Kate laughed at things she was too polite to explain. Neither of them remembers the exact day, which feels about right.

2023 · Becoming us

Friendship first, and for a long while

Longer than most people would guess. Two years of ordinary places (long drives, shared meals, service together, other people’s celebrations), and somewhere in there the ordinary stopped feeling ordinary.

Achilles knew before he said anything. Kate knew too, and waited for him to catch up. When they finally talked about it, the conversation was less a beginning than an admission.

November 2025 · The proposal

He forgot half of what he meant to say

Late afternoon, no crowd, no production. Achilles had thought about it for months and still forgot half of what he meant to say. Kate said yes before he finished. He was shaking more than she was.

They called both families the same evening, and neither of them slept much.

What to Wear

Dress Code

Semi-formal attire, in the colours of our day.

We would love for you to wear one of the six shades below: dusty blue, sage, blush, cream, warm sand, or deep brown. No need to match exactly; anywhere in the family is perfect.

One practical note: the reception is on grass and under the open sky, so block heels or flats will serve you far better than stilettos, and a light layer is worth bringing once the sun goes down.

Good Questions

FAQ

Semi-formal attire in our palette: dusty blue, sage, blush, cream, warm sand or deep brown. A dress or a barong and slacks both work beautifully. The swatches are in the Dress Code section if you would like to match closely.

We are keeping the day small and settled, so we are only able to welcome the children named on your invitation. We hope this gives you an evening to relax and enjoy yourself, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

Your invitation lists everyone we have reserved a seat for. If you are unsure whether yours includes a guest, please ask us. We would much rather you check than wonder.

Please arrive at the Kingdom Hall by 2:30 PM so everyone is seated before the talk begins at 3:00 PM. The reception at Cai’s Garden opens at 5:00 PM, with dinner served at 6:00.

Parking is free at both venues. The Kingdom Hall has a dedicated lot, and Cai’s Garden has on-site parking plus additional space along the road. Carpooling between the two is easy, and there is an hour between them.

We would love you to, but please stay in your seat and switch off your flash during the talk and the vows so the moment stays undisturbed. Afterwards, on the Kingdom Hall grounds and all through the reception, photograph everything.

Your presence really is the gift. We have not set up a registry, and nothing is expected of you. If you do choose to give something, it will be received with a great deal of thanks.

December is the dry season in Pangasinan, so rain is unlikely, and Cai’s Garden has covered areas if the weather surprises us. The sun sets around half past five, and evenings can turn cool, so a light shawl or jacket is worth bringing.

Gifts & Contact
